The Pilot Proficiency Center (PPC) promises to be an exciting venue once again at AirVenture 2024. This year the PPC program is being raised to an entirely new level.

EAA is working with the team at Community Aviation to deliver a dynamic program at the PPC this year. The state-of-the-art venue features three clinics:

  • Optimal Learning

(Monday 7/22 through Friday morning 7/26)
Select flight educators and a team of experienced flight instructors lead participants through a series of half-day workshops featuring hands-on activities and flight simulation labs. Be part of this dynamic experiment, founded on first principles of light aircraft flying, and dedicated to improving the state of flight training today. For instructors, pilots, students, and aviation enthusiasts alike. Striving for Excellence in Flight Training

  • An Introduction to Angle of Attack Indicator Systems

    (Wednesday 7/24, 1-5 p.m.)
Most pilots were exposed to the concept of angle of attack (AOA) in ground school but have never been instructed on how to use it in flight because their training aircraft did not have any way of indicating actual AOA. Attend this session to learn how to fly with advanced AOA technology, featuring briefing sessions with leading experts and flight simulation workshops.

  • Open Flight Simulation Orientation

(Friday afternoon 7/26 and Saturday 7/27)
Proficiency exercises and scenario-based missions. No registration required.

The Pilot Proficiency Center is located next to the EAA Aviation Museum. Bus and shuttle service available.
